Chase Rice has quite a knack for making a story feel real and concrete. Through specific references and poetic imagery, he is able to paint a picture of a scene that the listener can truly believe he was a part of. Instead of generically describing "the beach", he describes "Fort Lauderdale beach". Instead of generically complimenting a dress, it's "that dress with those yellow wildflowers". He adds spoken word verses to a few tracks on this album, which are stylistically unique, and further augment his storytelling talent.
