Thankfully for YSL and Gunna fans alike, Gunna's stylistic choices on this new project are similar to the projects that he has impressed us with in the past. Across beats from an A-List of producers, including Wheezy, Turbo the Great, and Tay Keith (all with whom we’ve grown accustomed to him collaborating with), Sergio “Gunna" Kitchens raps in effortless non-sequitur about clothing, jewelry and women.
He’s joined by other frequent collaborators such as Lil Baby, Young Thug, Travis Scott, and Roddy Ricch. Roddy Ricch jumps on “COOLER THAN A BITCH,” which calls out anyone with the audacity to think that they’re on the same level as them. Across all 18 tracks, “WUNNA” is everything that his fans could have asked for from the artist who has dedicated his career to not being a part of the herd - he even refuses to have a clothing stylist, comparing that choice to using a ghostwriter for his rhymes. Fittingly, the only place where drip is missing on this project is in the title itself.
